Highly likely events do not yield much information

The realization of a high probability event does not reveal much net-new information about the world. Going from 90% probability to 100% is a pitiful gain. Little uncertainty is resolved by the realization of high probability events. As such, high probability events are not terribly valuable. There is no alpha in predicting highly probable events
